About Hamlet Court Lodge

Hamlet Court Lodge is situated in the Masonic Province of Essex and was constituted in 1945 under charter from The United Grand Lodge of England.

We have been known for many years as "HAPPY HAMLET COURT"  and are proud of this title.

We are a small, friendly and progressive lodge of Freemasons who aim to honour the three main principles of Freemasonary, namely  brotherly love, relief and truth.  In practice, this means that we attend ceremonies founded on these principles, take part in a social side which promotes raising money for charities and we enjoy the company of friends of a like-minded persuasion. Our members age from 25 to 90 years, from many different walks of life, engineers, IT, shipping, fruiterers, entertainment etc and also from various countries and religions.

We meet every 2nd Friday in January, March, May, September and November, at 17.00.

Our regular meetings are held at:

Southend Masonic Temple
Saxon Hall
Aviation Way
Southend-on-Sea
Essex SS2 6UN

after each meeting we dine, toast and enjoy each others company.

we visit other lodges and have visitors come to us. Other events are arranged where our families can be involved.

We are not a Secret Society, but a Society with Secrets
